HAPPY EASTER!!!

Quinn and I dyed eggs for Easter, and they turned out really cool! I think this was actually the first time we'd ever dyed eggs together, it was fun!

And it begins....

Today Quinn started his last quarter at our community college! This means three things:

1.        Yay!!! The end is in sight!!!

As soon as Quinn finishes this quarter he’s DONE at the community college and then just has 2-3 more years at a university to get his Bachelor’s degree! And then he may get more schooling which will be a few more years… ok so the end isn’t really THAT close… but he’s almost done with community college!!! Yay! Progress!!!

2.       Huge decisions are coming up…..

Decisions… decisions… decisions... where to go after community college? Well, he applied to 4 schools and so far he’s gotten into 2 (haven’t heard from the other ones yet). However, the 2 schools he got accepted to aren’t the one we really want to go to. If he doesn’t get into the one we want to go to (the one that would make it so we don’t have to move), we have to figure out which other one would be best. Actually, even if he does get into the one we think we want, we need to figure out if that school would be the best choice. No biggie, we just have to consider housing, financial aid, tuition, the cost of moving, where we’d rather live, what program would be better, distance from family support, etc, etc, etc and how we’re gonna make this all work with a newborn…

3.       Our childless days are very numbered (Yay! and Scary!).

Quinn graduates from the community college 10 days before our son is due! So… the farther he gets into this quarter… the closer we get to our son getting here. That thought is both exciting and a bit daunting too. It’s April now, so that’s just a month after next. 12 weeks. WOW. Thankfully over Quinn’s spring break we got the major baby prep things done like moving the dresser and the bassinet to our house. Now for the list of smaller things to get done…
